EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 85 1845 N-11 R-3 AU55. Frosty chocolate brown with olive overtones in the protected areas and some reddish chocolate spots over UNITED, under ST in STATES, and over O in OF. There is a trivial tick on the nose, and very faint pin scratches on the cheek and in the field before the neck that all blend in well and are not distracting. Smooth, frosty surfaces. Broken out of a PCGS AU58 holder #1862.58/15398357 (label included).
LOT 83 1843 N-2 R-1 Petite Head, Small Letters AU50. Frosty deep olive with subtle bluish steel overtones. The best identifying mark is a tiny rim bump between stars 9-10. Smooth, lustrous surfaces. EDS(a) with a reverse rim break at UN in UNITED.

LOT 86 1846 N-4 R-1 Repunched Date NGC MS63BN. Frosty olive and bluish steel browns with about 15% of mellowed mint remaining on both sides. There are extremely fine planchet striations visible under a glass, the most notable include a couple near the dentils at stars 4-5. Otherwise frosty,l lustrous surfaces free of notable marks or detractions. M-LDS(c) with fine die cracks at OF and MER and the repunched date clear on all the digits. Tied for CC#9. Our grade is MS60. 3214323 014

LOT 87 1847 N-19 R-1 AU55. Frosty olive brown with deeper steel from Liberty’s neck down to the lower dentils and peeps of lighter tan mellowed down from faded mint color in some protected areas around 47 and the reverse peripheries. Only the most trivial of marks visible, nothing noteworthy or distracting. Smooth, lustrous surfaces. E-MDS(a+).

LOT 84 1844 N-4 R-1+ ANACS MS63BN. Frosty light to medium chocolate brown. The only notable mark is a dull nick under the eye. A very attractive cent that looks mint state but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the portrait. LDS, die state d, with die cracks on the reverse and narrow rim cuds at stars 4 & 5. Our grade is AU58. 5298981

LOT 88 1848 N-28 R-1 EF45+. Nearly AU50 but there is a carbon spot on the neck that prevents the higher grade. Free of notable marks or detractions otherwise. Frosty chocolate and steel browns with hints of lighter tan faded down from mint color in some reverse protected areas. M-LDS(c).
