EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 76 1839 N-2 R-2 Head of 1838 PCGS MS62BN CAC. Attractive light to medium browns. Looks mint state but there is a touch of wear on the highest points of the devices. The best identifying marks are a tiny nick off the tip of the nose, a small nick on the rim at star 11, and a rim bruise over F in OF. Frosty luster covers the fields and the eye appeal is excellent. MDS(a+). Our grade is AU50. 37225.62/39460824

LOT 73 1836 N-7 R-4 EF40. Five points sharper but nicely retoned frosty light golden olive. The only mark is a tiny struck-through line nestled between star 2 and the dentils. Sharply struck MDS with a faint die crack at ED ST.
