LOT 61 1830 N-4 R-2 Large Letters EF45. Glossy chocolate and darker steel brown with frosty lighter tan in the protected areas on the reverse. There is a double profile along the forehead due to die bounce. Frosty luster shows in the protected areas of both sides. MDS(b).
LOT 65 1832 N-3 R-1 Large Letters ANACS AU53. Frosty golden tan and bluish steel brown with a splash of darker toning at TE in STATES. The highest points on the portrait are a lighter shade of coppery tan thanks to a very light rub. Sharply struck with just a trace of friction on the highest points of the devices. Mint luster shows in the fields. E-MDS. The dentils are sharp and microscopic radial flowlines are starting to show in the fields. Fine double profiles show on the brow lock, lips, chin, and stars 9-12 (from die bounce or “machine doubling.” Our grade is net AU50. 7262672

LOT 62 1831 N-3 R-3 Medium Letters AU55. Frosty steel and medium olive brown with lighter, lustrous steel brown toning in the protected areas. There is a tiny, very light diagonal nick or planchet flake right of the nose visible under a glass. MDS. Broken out of a PCGS AU58 holder #36997.58/81765972 with the Tucker provenance (label included).
LOT 66 1833 N-6 R-1 PCGS MS62BN. Lustrous tan and light bluish steel with sea-green overtones on the reverse. Most likely dipped long ago and nicely retoned. The surfaces are satiny and the only marks are two spots of darker toning and a very thin nick, all right of star 3. M-LDS with a double crack through the lower part of the N in UNITED and the reverse rotated 25 degrees clockwise. Our grade is net AU58. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label. 37033.62/28453784

LOT 63 1832 N-1 R-2 Medium Letters EF45+. Frosty deep olive and chocolate browns. There are a few trivial circulation marks on Liberty’s cheek and chin, and one over E in CENT. Otherwise choice with glossy surfaces. M-LDS(c-).

LOT 67 1834 N-1 R-1 Small 8 with Large Stars EF45. Glossy chocolate and light olive with frosty tan in some of the protected areas. Essentially flawless, just lightly worn on the devices. MDS with die cracks through most of the stars and crumbling at star 4. Repunching inside the C in AMERICA is still visible.
LOT 64 1832 N-2 R-3 Medium Letters VF30. EF sharpness but there is a notable dig at T in CENT. There is also a minor nick on the rim over T in STATES. Glossy steel and chocolate browns, a few shades lighter brown in some reverse protected areas. Smooth, glossy surfaces. LDS(b).
