LOT 347 1839 N-9 R2 Silly Head, NGC graded AU55 . Choice glossy light olive and chocolate brown. Smooth with no notable marks and great eye appeal. MDS, Grellman state b late, with a bisecting die crack on the obverse plus other lighter cracks on the obverse. Our grade is EF40+. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. 6619659-007

LOT 349 1840 N-4 R3 Small Date VF25+ . Sharpness EF40 or slightly better with fine roughness in the field before the portrait, areas of fine roughness on the reverse, and dark stains on the rims, mostly on the reverse. A spot of corrosion with verdigris on the edge over star 5 is the best identifying mark. EDS, die state a, with clear lumps (hub defects) under the date. Mostly glossy medium brown and light chocolate.

LOT 348 1839 N-15 R-5+ Booby Head VG7 . A few points sharper but cleaned with light granularity on the surfaces and a notable rim dent at star 2, also visible over ST in STATES, and a more minor one at the last A in AMERICA. There are also a few pin pricks on Liberty’s face and in front of the nose. Tan brown and deep steel patina. Full date and legends.

LOT 350 1840 N-6 R-1 Large Date PCGS AU53 . Glossy medium chocolate with light steel brown toning on some high points. There are few trivial marks in the fields, including a prick left of C in CENT, and a faint pin scratch on Liberty’s cheek. LDS(c). Our grade is VF35+. 1820.53/27787713
