 RARE 1817 N-7 WITHOUT MOUSE

yes LOT 280 1817 N-7 R7 (as a die state) G4 . Slightly glossy light olive and steel on the devices and darker olive brown in the protected areas. Struck slightly off center to K-5 resulting in an uneven strike, especially at the upper right of the reverse. The details where properly struck are at least VG10 on the lower left part of the reverse, but other areas are weak, less than G4. Covered with microscopic granularity that dulls the surfaces. No verdigris, just a few old, light scratches over the N in ONE. EDS, Grellman state a, without the usually seen “Mouse” break on top of the head. Less than 10 are known without the mouse, and the finest of those grades net F12. Comes with a nice provenance.

LOT 281 1817 N-7 R3 ANACS graded EF40 . Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. A smooth, attractive cent but there are a couple notable marks including a dull scratch on the left side of star 2 and a light rim bruise over AT in STATES. MDS, Grellman state c early, with a die crack from the end of the nose to star 2 and another from the top of the hair bun to over star 10. The “Mouse Break” on top of the head is strong. A very nice example of this popular die state. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF30. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 6128461

LOT 282 1817 N-9 R-2 13 Stars PCGS AU58 . The obverse is tan and light steel browns with frosty faded mint red in some protected areas, while the reverse is mostly tan with scattered dark spots on the central and upper areas. Free of notable marks with smooth, hard surfaces and frosty luster in the protected areas. EDS+(a) with die cracks along the tops of OF and AMERICA. Our grade is AU50 net XF45. 1594.58/16074471
