EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 245 1803 S-243 R2 Stemless Wreath, Doubled Fraction Bar VG7 . A few points sharper with fine granularity covering the fields and protected areas, strongest on the reverse. No verdigris but there are fine scratches covering the field before the portrait plus a small rim nick over the end of the bust. Partly glossy dark olive brown and steel with lighter brown in protected areas on the reverse. LDS, Breen state V, with a cud break connecting TY to the rim with an extension clockwise to before the end of the nose.

yes LOT 246 1803 S-244 R4 PCGS graded VF30 . Very attractive glossy chocolate brown and steel with frosty slightly lighter brown in protected areas on the obverse. Smooth with just a couple notable marks including a nick over the hair ribbon and a dull scratch on the neck over the shoulder. MDS, Breen state II, with dull die clashmarks at the neck. Our grade is VF25 net VF20. The attribution and New Cumberland Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 36350.30/47910323

LOT 247 1803 S-245 R3 PCGS graded XF40 . Frosty light to medium chocolate brown and steel. Smooth and attractive with a few marks. The notable marks are a dark spot and tiny pit on the neck, another in the field off the lower end of the hair ribbon, and some fine scratches on the cheek and neck. EDS+, Breen state I late. The crack at the N in UNITED is strong but the tiny cud there has not formed. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF30.
