1793 S-4 R3 Chain AMERICA with Periods, PCGS VF Detail, Repaired . Sharpness at least F12 but covered with very light roughness in the fields and protected areas. The fields on the obverse have been very lightly smoothed and there are some fine, very old scratches on both sides including two from TY to the nose and two more under ONE. No verdigris and it takes a glass to see the marks. Slightly glossy dark chocolate and steel brown. E-MDS. The date is strong and the legends are complete. The period following LIBERTY is clear but the one following the date is faint, barely visible. Our grade is net VG7. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. 35444.98/34957023
1793 S-2 R4+ Chain AMERICA F12 . Sharpness VF30 but covered with uniform fine to moderate granularity covering the fields and protected areas. The highest points of the devices are nearly smooth. No verdigris or planchet defects, and the only mark is a small tick on the edge at the R in AMERICA. This cent saw very little wear from circulation. Rather dull olive brown and steel. MDS. The date and legends are complete and clear.

1793 S-2 R-4+ AMERICA Chain PCGS VG Details (Devices Engraved) . Attractive chocolate brown with various notable digs scttered on the obverse portrait and a faint scratch through the lower hair. There are also a few stronger digs on and around the reverse chain, and the 1 has reegraved to strengthen it. Despite that, the remaining details are fairly sharp with fully legible date and legends. 1793 S-3 R-3- AMERICA Chain PCGS VG Details (Environmental Damage) . Mostly dark brown with lighter brown on the central obverse from old rub and microgranularity covering the surfaces. The only noteable mark is a nick behind the head. Readable date and legends. Our grade is VG8 net G4. 35438.97/47954235

1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA PCGS graded Good-4 . Rather glossy chocolate brown and steel. Smooth with light contact marks, just well worn. A glass reveals faint hairline scratches and small nicks on both sides, all insignificant for a cent at this grade level. The best identifying mark is a tiny rim bruise or small rim nick under the 7 in the date. The date and legends are weak but readable except for UNITED which is extremely faint at best. EDS. Our grade is AG3+, very close to G4. (The holder is scuffed on the reverse.) 1341.04/13733049
1793 S-3 R-3- AMERICA Chain Cent AG3 . Several points sharper, especially the reverse, but there is light corrosion across the obverse as well as a wheelspoke of old scratches and a few more in the hair and through the left chain. Glossy deep chocolate and olive browns, fully readable date and legends. LDS.
