1828 C-3 R1 MS60 . Very lustrous light golden tan with rose and maroon toning on the upper right part of the reverse. Looks choice to the unaided eye but this piece may have been dipped long ago. LOT 65

LOT 71

1837 Half Cent Token, Low-49, Rulau HT-73 R2 VF25 . Slightly sharper but recolored glossy light olive with steel brown on the highpoints and traces of reddish tan in protected areas. Trivial marks and nice eye appeal.

1828 C-3 R1 AU50 . Glossy chocolate brown. Sharp and smooth with very nice eye appeal, but possibly retoned. EDS, Manley state 1.0.

LOT 66

LOT 72

1849 C-1 R2- PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved . Very attractive medium brown with some tiny peeps of mellowed mint red on both sides. The only marks are a few very light, barely visible rim bruises on the obverse including one over star 10. Very sharply struck EDS, Manley state 1.0. Fine doubling shows under the serif of the 1, faint vertical die polishing lines are visible in the obverse fields, and stars 1-7 show doubling. The fine die lines over NI un UNITED are clear. Just a few microscopic ticks from choice. Our grade is MS60, but it has the eye appeal of a higher grade. The D. L. Hansen Collection provenance is noted on the special PCGS label. 1218.64/83996341 Ex the D. L. Hansen Collection-David Lawrence Rare Coins (includes the DLRC sales sticker)

1828 C-3 R1 EF45+ . Slightly sharper but there is a swipe of very fine carbon in the field right of star 4 and a few small marks including a dull nick over the C in CENT. Otherwise quite nice with glossy light brown and tan toning and frost in the fields and protected areas. MDS with clashmarks on the reverse.
