EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

1828 C-1 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown . Frosty light olive and steel brown. Only microscopic marks, none significant, and traces of dirt in a few protected areaas. LOT 61

1825 C-2 R1 EF40 . Very attractive glossy tan and light brown with darker brown and steel on the highpoints. Generous traces of frosty golden tan show in protected areas. Choice, just lightly worn. LDS, Manley state 3.0.

LOT 58

1828 C-1 R1 VF30 . Glossy light chocolate brown with lighter olive, tan, and chocolate on the reverse. Smooth with minor marks. LDS, Manley state 3.0.

LOT 62

1828 C-2 R1 12-Star Obverse R1 VF35 . Sharper but there are some faint scratches on the bust tip and a dull one under the lowest curl. Frosty golden tan with darker steel on the highpoints. MDS, Manley state 2.0.

LOT 63

1826 C-1 R1 MS60 . The obverse is frosty pinkish tan while the reverse is frosty light to medium olive with a trace of very mellowed red at NITED. The toning is odd but the strike is sharp and the only notable mark is a tiny swipe of darker olive brown at the lower right point of star 8. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with die lines right of the date and up from the hair over LIB. Struck with the reverse rotated 20 degrees clockwise. Removed from an old PCGS holder graded MS63BN (older green 2-part PCGS label #01144.63/8105068 included). Ex Old Town Coin & Jewelry 6/1989-Bill Eckberg-Chris McCawley 7/21/2008-Robert S. LOT 59

1828 C-2 R1 12-Star Obverse VF25 . Sharpness EF40 or slightly better but cleaned and retoned glossy dark olive brown and steel. Looks smooth to the unaided eye but a glass show microscopic roughness on both sides, strongest right of star 2. A dull nick on the bust may help identify this cent. Sharply struck E-MDS.

1826 C-1 R1 VF30 . Glossy light olive brown and steel. Smooth with trivial marks and nice eye appeal. LDS, Manley state 5.0.
