LOT 659 1798 S-161 R2 Small 8, Style I Hair AG3+ . Rather glossy steel brown and chocolate. There are a few light scratches on the obverse and extremely fine granularity in the fields, but overall decent for the grade. MDS with obvious swelling on the reverse. The date and most of the legends are clear.
LOT 660 1798 S-161 R2 Small 8, Style I Hair AG3 . Rather glossy chocolate brown with steel in protected areas. Minor marks but no verdigris. MDS, slightly earlier than the preceding lot with less swelling on the reverse. The date and most of the legends are easily readable.
yes LOT 658 1798 S-154 R4+ Large 8, Style I Hair 4/X . Mostly glossy olive brown and steel. Reasonably smooth but there are traces of fine roughness near the rims on both sides. The date is clear as are most of the legends. This piece is engraved on the reverse in script Sept 2nd 1872 with 11m at the top. Maybe represents love, death, or some other significant event in a person’s life. Perhaps the passing of a child at 11 months of age. Neatly holed at the top for suspension.
LOT 661 1798 S-162 R4 Small 8, Style I Hair AG3+ . Sharper in some areas but there areas of roughness on both sides, strongest on the neck. No verdigris or significant marks. LDS with swelling in the obverse fields. The date is bold.

LOT 662 1798 S-163 R4 Small 8, Style I Hair G6 . Sharpness F15 but dented and nicked with an obvious bend in the planchet. Mostly smooth but there is an area of fine corrosion at CENT. Mostly glossy brown and light chocolate. EDS. The date is bold and the legends are complete.
