LOT 103 1852 First Restrike Proof, Breen-1-B R5, Proof 66 Brown NGC, CAC Approved. Very attractive medium brown and light chocolate. A few tiny peeps of faded mint red are still visible on both sides. The only notable marks are a microscopic speck of darker toning (not carbon) inside the top of the 8and a tiny planchet chip at the base of a dentil under the end of the wreath stem (as struck). Sharp and very attractive with reflective fields. The excellent eye appeal is attested to by the high grade assigned by NGC and the subsequent approval by CAC. Our grade is Proof-63.
