LOT 71 1809 C-4 R2 Large 0 over Small 0, AU55 PCGS. Frosty olive brown and steel. Close to mint state but there is light friction on the devices. No roughness or verdigris, just microscopic marks scattered over the obverse. A tiny pinprick in the field before the mouth and a half dozen even smaller ones in the field under the chin are the best identifying marks on this attractive piece. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 3, with fine radial die flowlines in the fields and partial dentils on both sides. Struck slightly off center to K-5 with the reverse rotated 30 degrees clockwise. The small 0 inside the normal 0 is clear. Our grade is AU50 .
