LOT 69 1809 C-2 R3 AU55 PCGS. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with golden tan in some of the protected areas. An attractive piece with just a hint of friction on the highpoints and trivial marks. A spot of dark crud on the truncation over the 1, a smaller spot of dark olive brown toning right of star 1, and some microscopic hairline scratches hidden in the hair right of the neck are the only marks. M-LDS, Manley state 3.0, Fuhrman state 3, with die cracks on the obverse and a small rim cud at D-S. Our grade is AU55. (The holder is badly scuffed on the back.) 1123.55/12096897 $9,750 Ex Chris McCawley-The J. Torres Collection of Half Cents
