LOT 398 Pair of Tough 1846 Varieties. Includes N-10 R4 EDS F12 net VG8 for a short scratch, and N-21 R5 EDS VG10+ choice, close to F12 (removed from a PCGS slab graded VF20, PCGS label included and it shows the attribution). Both are glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 395 1846 N-6 R-1 NGC MS63BN. Glossy chocolate and steel browns. Only the most trivial of marks visible under a glass, nothing noteworthy. Smooth surfaces with frosty mint luster covering the protected areas. MDS. Our grade is MS60. 370380 009

LOT 399 1846 N-26 R-5 Tall Date, Repunched 1 PCGS VF Details Scratch. Sharpness at least F12 but there is a diagonal scrape in the field right of star 4 and a few small rim nicks on both sides, none significant. Slightly glossy dark olive and steel, the devices several shades lighter than the fields. MDS, die state b. Our grade is net VG10. 405600.95/37565963

LOT 396 1846 N-12 R-1 Tall Date MS62BN. Glossy deep golden olive brown surfaces. Only a few trivial marks revealed under a glass, a tiny nick on star 13 and a couple horizontal pin scratches under ON the most notable. Frosty mint luster covers the protected areas. Die state b. LOT 400 1847 N-13 R-3+ PCGS AU53. Attractive light chocolate and steel browns. There is a carbon spot in the dentils between stars 9 and 10, and the surfaces are a bit dirty and could use a proper brushing. Only a few trivial marks visible under a glass. Otherwise frosty surfaces. Scarce LDS with the small but strong rim cud between the two die breaks over R in AMERICA. Our grade is XF45. 37298.53/34946919

LOT 397 1846 N-23 R-5+ Tall Date NGC XF45. Glossy light to medium chocolate browns with lighter brown on some of the high points. Only a few trivial marks, smooth surfaces. EDS, die state a. Our grade is VF25, tied for CC#8 in the Grellman census. 5895425-009
