LOT 387 1841 Counterfeit Copy Braided Hair Cent MS60. Glossy light brown and light steel on smooth surfaces. A counterfeit copy struck from spark erosion dies, with some lines in the fields from the dies, as made.

LOT 391 1843 N-15 R-2 AU55. Near UNC sharpness but there are a handful of nicks on Liberty’s cheek and neck, and one before the nose. Attractive chocolate and olive browns with a bit of underlying mint red showing at UN in UNITED. Brilliant frosty cartwheel luster.

LOT 388 1841 N-2 R-2 AU55. Attractive light brown with a couple swipes of deeper chocolate through the laurel tip and near star 2, as well as a reddish chocolate spot at the lips. There are some carbon specks nestled in the dentils over star 5 and a faint pin scratch over star 13 that blends in well. EDS. Lustrous surfaces.

LOT 392 1845 N-2 R-1 NGC VF25. Chocolate and steel browns with an area of lighter brown around star 7. Trivial marks and abrasions on both sides, a hairline scratch through B in LIBERTY to the ear the most notable. LDS. Our grade is VF20. 2052997-030

LOT 389 1842 N-2 R-1 Small Date MS62. Attractive deep chocolate brown with hints of faded mint red underneath. The only marks are wispy pin scratches on Liberty’s cheek visible under a glass, and a tiny rim nick left of star 2. Scarce E-MDS, die state b.

LOT 393 1845 N-9 R-2 MS60. Chocolate brown with olive gray highlighting the devices on the obverse, deeper olive and chocolate on the reverse. There is a tiny scrape on Liberty’s chin and a nick on the lower throat. Frosty mint luster covers the surfaces. MDS.

LOT 390 1843 N-6 R-1 AU55. Frosty olive and chocolate browns with a swipe of steel toning from TE in UNITED down through the wreath and ribbon. There are a couple nicks on Liberty’s chin and neck, and another on the dentils above star 9. Frosty, lustrous surfaces.

LOT 394 1845 N-13 R-2 PCGS MS63BN. Glossy medium chocolate and olive browns with hints of underlying faded mint red on both sides. There is a trivial tick under the chin and a couple left of star 10. Satiny, lustrous surfaces. EDS, state a. 405791.63/16210058
