LOT 265 1802 S-239 R-3 F15. F15+ but there are numerous nicks on the fields and devices, nothing major or distracting. Glossy dark brown surfaces with lighter brown on the high points of the portrait. Rare EDS, Breen state II, before the obverse die cracks. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 266 1802 S-239 R-3 Elephant Trunk F15. F15+ but very faint micro-granularity is visible under a glass. Glossy mottled dark olive and steel, a couple shades lighter on the high points of the devices. LDS, Breen state V with the distinct “elephant trunk” die cracks on the obverse and clash marks on the reverse, but no reverse die crack. This is the first ever coin purchased by Fred Borcherdt.

LOT 267 1802 S-239 R-3 Elephant Trunk VG8. VG10 sharpness but lightly corroded with fine roughness on both sides. There are also wispy pin scratches on the portrait and obverse fields. Glossy dark olive and steel surfaces, lighter steel on the devices. MDS.

LOT 268 Group of 4 1802 S-239 Large Cents. Lot of 4 1802 S-239 Draped Bust Cents. Includes a LDS Breen State V F15 net VG7 corrosion, a LDS F12 net G5 corrosion, a LDS VG8 net AG3 crud and corrosion, and a LDS AG3+ olive brown with glossy smooth surfaces. All have bold dates and clear “Elephant Trunk” die breaks.
