LOT 256 1802 S-235 R-3 G6. Glossy medium brown with darker brown in some protected areas. Free of notable marks, no verdigris. LDS, Breen state VI late with the rim cud over RTY and the strong die crack from the rim to the throat. One of only 6 known in this die state, including the previous and next lots. Unevenly struck, with weaker LIB and UNITED gone entirely, otherwise clear date and legends. Graded VG7 net G5 by Noyes, his photo #26038. Smooth and attractive for the grade.

LOT 253 1802 S-235 R-3 VF25+. X40 sharpness but there are minor nicks and pin scratches on the portrait and fields. The most notable are a few on the cheek, one in the hair behind the ear, and over the bust tip. Attractive chocolate brown with lighter brown underneath and light steel on the high points, as well as subtle olive toning highlighting some reverse devices. E-MDS, Breen state IV, unevenly struck with weakness around the top obverse and lower reverse. Smooth, glossy surfaces. Graded VF35 net VF30 and TCC#11 in the Noyes census, his photo #37807.

LOT 257 1802 S-235 R-3 AG3+. Glossy dark brown, a few shades lighter on the high points of the devices. There are trivial marks on both sides consistent with the grade, including a dull scratch over CENT and minor rim bumps at E in STATES and behind the lower hair. Pleasing smooth, hard surfaces. LDS, Breen state VI late, and unevenly struck, one of 6 known in this state, including the previous 2 lots. LOT 254 1802 S-235 R-3 VF25. 5 points sharper but there are numerous trivial nicks scattered on the surfaces, nothing major or distracting but enough to prevent the higher grade. Attractive light steel with underlying tan and auburn browns. MDS, Breen state V, with the obverse rim cud break over RTY. Graded VF30 net VF20 and TCC#22 in the Noyes census, his photo 25986.
