LOT 240 1801 S-222 R-1 AG3+. Semi-glossy dark chocolate and steel browns. Trivial marks are scattered on both sides, the most notable include one in the mid hair, another in the field level with the chin, and a pinprick left of the numerator. 1 00 fraction. E-MDS. Bold date, weak in some places but readable legends.
LOT 243 1802 S-225 R-3 VF30. XF sharpness but traces of light verdigris remain in some protected areas with a dark olive green and dark steel patina. The only notable marks are a pin scratch below the hair braid and another inside the wreath through O in ONE. E-MDS, Breen state III. Rather glossy and smooth to the unaided eye.

LOT 241 1801 S-223 R-1 F15+. VF25+ but micro granularity covers all but the highest points, which are smoother. Glossy dark brown and steel on the obverse, a couple shades lighter chocolate brown and steel on the reverse. No verdigris, and the only notable marks are scuff or file lines on the rim behind the hair braid. M-LDS, Breen state III late. Strong date and legends.

LOT 244 1802 S-226 R-3 VF25+. XF40 sharpness but there are faint scratches in the left obverse field up to LIB, and several flakes on the reverse. These include one over T(E), one left of U, and another on the last A in AMERICA. Dark olive and steel tones with a splash of tan at TES. MDS, Breen state III, with an obverse rim break under 802. Smooth surfaces. Graded XF45 net VF35 and TCC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #25683.
LOT 242 1801 S-224 R-1 F12. Chocolate and olive browns . there are a couple nicks in Liberty’s hair and trivial marks in the fields, all consistent with the grade. M-LDS, Breen state II with the strong rim cud break over AME. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 245 1802 S-228 R-2 1/000 Fraction VG10. VF sharpness with numerous nicks and abrasions scattered across both sides, nothing too major but enough to prevent a higher grade. Semi-glossy dark olive brown and steel. MDS, Breen state II. Strong date and legends, clear 1/00 fraction.
