LOT 221 1800 S-200 R-3 G6+. Mixed dark brown, olive, and charcoal on semi-glossy surfaces. The notable marks are nick at the leaves below F in OF and wispy pin scratches on the portrait and fields. V-LDS, Breen state VII the a strong break behind the lowest hair curls and obvious swelling on the reverse. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 224 1800 S-211 R-3 VG10. Dark chocolate and steel browns. There are a couple minor nicks in the upper hair, and a rim nick over ER in LIBERTY, trivial marks otherwise. MDS, Breen state IV, with a bulge over the bust tip. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 225 1801 S-213 R-2 VF20. Medium chocolate brown, darker on the reverse, with spots of darker steel toning on the obverse fields and lower hair. The notable marks include a nick under E in ONE and a couple over the last S in STATES. There are areas of shallow, maroon scale stop the hair braid and at the wreath under ER in AMERICA, otherwise smooth, hard surfaces. M-LDS, Breen state VII.

LOT 222 1800 S-203 R-3 VG8. Dark brown and steel gently mottled with puffs of deeper steel. There are traces of microscopic roughness in some reverse protected areas, and scattered trivial marks and abrasions. Nothing noteworthy, otherwise smooth. TDS, Breen state V, with the retained cud at TES clear.

LOT 226 1801 S-214 R-3 F15. VF25+ sharpness but micro-granularity covers the surfaces except for the high points, which are smooth. There is also a vertical scratch on Liberty’s cheek. Semi-glossy dark chocolate brown and steel with underlying lighter brown. LDS, Breen state III. Graded VF30 net F12 and TCC#17 in the Noyes census, his photo #25917.

LOT 223 1800 S-208 R-3 F12. VF25 sharpness but there is micro-porosity covering the surfaces of both sides, as well as a couple faint pin scratches on Liberty’s cheek and hair behind the ear that blend in well. Otherwise free of notable marks with full date and legends, struck slightly off center towards K-3 on the obverse affecting the dentils. The reverse is well centered. M-LDS, Breen state III, this is the plate coin Breen used for the die state on page 589.
