LOT 215 1800 S-196 R-1 80 over 79 VG8. F15 sharpness but lightly cleaned and now toned a nice medium brown with scattered steel spots across the obverse. There are also old hairline scratches that blend in well, most notably at the eye and through the hair above the shoulder. Smooth surfaces, strong overdate and legends.

LOT 218 1800 S-199 R-4 AG3+. G4+ but there is digs and dents on the central areas of both sides. Medium to dark chocolate brown surfaces. TDS, Breen state IX late with a strong rim cud break partially obscuring F in OF and obvious swelling on the reverse obscuring the central legends and D STA.

LOT 216 1800 S-199 R-4 VG8. VG8+ but recolored and now mostly olive and steel with underlying faded red and iridescent blue steel and sea green tones. Trivial marks in the fields, hairline scratches behind the lowest curls the most notable. E-MDS, Breen state III early, struck ever so slightly off center toward K-5. Smooth, hard surfaces.

LOT 219 1800 S-200 R-3 VG8. A couple points sharper but there is a fresh pin scratch through the hair and cheek, and the surfaces have been recolored a dark brown and bluish steel. Only the most trivial of marks otherwise on smooth, rather glossy surfaces. LDS, Breen state IX. Graded VG10 by Noyes, his photo #38315.

LOT 217 1800 S-199 R-4 G6. Glossy dark brown and olive browns with traces of old verdigris in some reverse protected areas. Only a few trivial marks otherwise, nothing noteworthy or distracting. LDS, Breen state IX with a rim cud break at F in OF. Partial central reverse legends, clear legends and bold date.

LOT 220 1800 S-200 R-3 VG7. F15 sharpness but lightly corroded with tiny pits and traces of old, jade verdigris on both sides. Otherwise dark brown semi glossy surfaces. Free of notable marks. E-MDS, Breen state II. Strong date and full legends.
