LOT 197 1798 S-180 R-5+ Small 8 G6. VF25 sharpness but corroded with fine roughness and porosity on the surfaces. Free of notable marks. Semi-glossy olive and deep steel surfaces. LDS, Breen state V early, with a retained cud over U in UNITED, one of three known in this state. Listed twice in the Noyes census, once graded VF20 net G5 his photo #63652, and the other graded F12 net G5 his photo #26052.

LOT 198 1798 S-180 R-5+ Small 8 G4+. A few points sharper but covered with uniform microscopic porosity. Dark olive and chocolate browns free of notable marks or verdigris. The date is a bit weak along the bottom but readable, as usual with the strong cud break at TATE on the reverse. M-LDS, Breen state IV late. Only 2 known in this die state.

LOT 195 Lot of 4 Draped Bust Cents 1798, 1800, 1801. Lot of 4 Draped Bust Cents including a 1798, a 1798 cleaned, an 1800/179, and an 1801 counterstamped J.R. All grade AG-VG with readable dates.

LOT 196 1798 S-180 R-5+ Small 8 VG8. F15+ but there is light roughness and tiny pits on the surfaces of both sides, strongest around the peripheries. Free of notable marks, no verdigris. Glossy deep charcoal and dark olive surfaces. MDS, Breen State III, with the strong rim cud over TATE. Clear date and legends.

LOT 199 1798 S-181 R-3 Large Fraction VF20. 15 points sharper but there is a patch of corrosion from LI down to the hair braid. Deep steel with lighter tan on the high points and left field on the obverse, the reverse is ruddy chocolate and steel with lighter brown on some high points. MDS, Breen state II, the reverse is rotated 45 degrees counter-clockwise.
