LOT 192 1798 S-177 R-4+ VG7. Pleasing light to medium browns with darker brown in the protected areas. The notable marks include minor rim bumps behind the hair braid and over A in STATES, and nicks on the central reverse and the leaf under A(M). V-LDS, Breen state V late, with the retained cud over R(I). Strong date, smooth surfaces. Graded VG7 net G6 by Noyes, his photo #32984.

LOT 188 1798 S-174 R-2 VF25. VF35 are a couple small pits around AME and the surface have been recolored light brown and steel on the obverse, several shades darker on the reverse. Trivial marks and smooth surfaces otherwise. MDS, Breen state III. Graded VF35 net VF20 and TCC#24 in the Noyes census, his photo #26037.

LOT 189 1798 S-176 R-4 G4. VG8 but there are two dents, one on each side of the portrait, and microscopic roughness on the surfaces. Two tone dark steel brown with lighter brown on the devices giving a nice contrast. E-MDS, Breen state III. Strong date and legends.

LOT 193 1798 S-178 R-5+ Reverse of 95 VG8. VF25+ sharpness but the surfaces are covered in granularity, stronger around the reverse peripheries. Dark chocolate brown with bluish steel tones. Free of notable marks. LDS. Graded VF20 net G6 and TCC#9 in the Noyes census, his photo #26209.

LOT 190 1798 S-177 R-4+ VG8. F15 sharpness but fine porosity is scattered across the surfaces, stronger on the reverse. Glossy chocolate and dark steel. M-LDS, Breen state IV. Strong date and clear legends.

LOT 194 1798 S-179 R-2 G5. F12 sharpness but there is damage along the rim over (L)IBER and microscopic roughness around the portrait and lower fields visible under a glass. Smooth on the reverse. Strong date and legends.
