EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 167 Lot of 4 Draped Bust Cents 1798-1802. Lot of 4 Draped Bust Cents. Includes a 1798 S-149 FR2, a 1798 S-153 FR2, an 1800/79 S-193 FR2, and an 1802 S-233 AG3.
LOT 171 1798 S-156 R-5+ Reverse of 1795 VG8. F15 sharpness but there numerous nicks and abrasions scattered across the surfaces, and a few minor bumps along the rims. Only one behind the hair braid is worth noting, but there are too many to prevent a nicer grade. Glossy medium brown and steel. E-MDS, Breen state II early. Unevenly struck, resulting in weakness on the left reverse, but other than TED the legends are readable and date bold. Graded VG7 net G6 and TCC#14 in the Noyes census, his photo #39469.
LOT 168 1798/7 S-150 R-5 G5. A point sharper but there are old scratches on the central reverse and a few faint diagonal hairlines over the shoulder down to the drapery. Trivial marks otherwise. LDS, Breen state IV. Smooth, uniform olive brown surfaces. Graded VG7 net G6 and TCC#21 in the Noyes census, his photo #26217.
