LOT 123 1796 S-85 R-5- G6. F12 sharpness but corroded with fine roughness and old scratches on both sides, the latter more so on the obverse. Deep charcoal surfaces with lighter chocolate on the high points and hints of above along the dentils behind the top of the cap. EDS, Breen state I. Double struck, the second strike rotated 5 degrees clockwise, and the reverse slightly off center towards 9 o’clock.

LOT 124 1796 S-91 R-3 G4. A point or so sharper but there are a couple shallow dents behind the cap, minor bruises along the rims, and faint hairline scratches on the upper reverse. Glossy dark chocolate and charcoal surfaces. MDS. Strong date and LIBERTY, weak in places but readable reverse legends.

LOT 126 1796 S-93 R-3 Draped Bust VG8. F15+ sharpness but lightly corroded with fine roughness, more moderate under CENT and over TAT in STATES. Mostly dark olive brown with deeper charcoal in some protected areas. MDS, Breen state V, with the sunken retained cud over RICA. Strong date, full legends.

LOT 125 1796 S-91 R-3 G4. VG8 sharpness but corroded with micro granularity covering the surfaces and shallow old verdigris on the lowe right wreath and RICA. The only notable marks are a rim nick at B in LIBERTY and a couple minor rim bumps under 96. Other than ST in STATES the legends and date are clear. MDS.

LOT 127 1796 S-99 R-5 Reverse of 95 PCGS G6. Lightly cleaned on the obverse and now mostly dark brown and steel with lighter steel and a few ruddy brown spots on the portrait. Old hairline scratches remain across the obverse. The reverse is a bit dirty but original medium brown and dark olive. Full date and legends. Our grade is G5. 1401.06/42648175
