Terry Denman Collection of Middle Dates Part 1
THE TERRY DENMAN COLLECTION
LOT 117 1824/2 N-1 R1 Overdate 4 over 2, PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved . Frosty brown and light chocolate with some lighter brown inside the wreath. Mint frost shows in the fields and protected areas and this cent has very nice eye appeal. The only marks are a few very light hairlines under the chin and neck and a barely visible dent in the dentils over the second T in STATES. EDS, die state b, with fine die cracks on the obverse but no crumbling in the dentils. The overdate feature is obvious. A very nice example of this “Redbook” variety. Graded AU50 net EF40 by Noyes (no idea why the 10-point deduction), his photo #35935. Our grade is EF45. 36778.58/30808982
