Mint luster shows in the fields and protected areas and the surfaces are choice, void of marks or other defects. Nicely struck MDS with fine radial die flowlines from the dentils. Called AU55 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21127. Bland says AU55 and tied for finest known honors among the confirmed examples. LOT 82 1820 N-7 R2 Small Date, NGC graded MS64 Brown . Lustrous light to medium olive with uniform light steel brown on the reverse. There is a large puff of lighter tan toning in the field before the face, and peeps of mint color are still visible in protected areas, mostly on the reverse. Sharply struck with great eye appeal. The only notable sign of contact is a tiny nick hidden in the hair below star 8. Sharply struck EDS, die state a. The fields are smooth and hard with a hint of reflectivity, and the inner circle on the obverse is sharp. A beautiful cent, and the reverse is choice. Graded MS60 and CC#2 of only 2 mint state examples in the Noyes census, his photo #69516. Our grade is MS60+. 1712120-003
