Terry Denman Collection of Middle Dates Part 1
EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
CONDITION CENSUS N-5 MEDIUM LETTERS
LOT 175 1829 N-5 R3 Medium Letters PCGS graded AU58 . Frosty steel brown with light brown in protected areas. The lighter brown toning dominates the reverse. Mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has very nice eye appeal in spite of the usual weak strike. In fact there is very little actual wear and it is nearly void of marks. A faint hairline over the 8 and a small nick in the center of the neck are the best identifying marks. E-MDS, die state b, with crumbling connecting two dentils at the bottom of star 3. Graded AU50 net EF45 and tied for CC#4 in the Noyes census, his photo #35437. Our grade is AU50. 36931.58/30812879

LOT 176 1829 N-6 R1 Large Letters AU58 . Lustrous light greenish olive with faint hints of very faded mint color on the reverse. Very sharply struck and quite attractive, but there are a few minor marks including tiny nicks on the face and in the field to the left. The best identifying mark is a small spot of lighter golden tan toning on the right foot of the E in ONE. EDS with smooth fields and sharp dentils around both sides.
