THE TERRY DENMAN COLLECTION

EQUAL SECOND FINEST N-7 “WHEELSPOKE”

LOT 177 1829 N-7 R3 Large Letters, PCGS graded MS64 Brown . Choice glossy light chocolate brown with mint luster in the fields and protected areas and lustrous golden tan faded down from mint color in protected areas on the reverse. This cent has great eye appeal, especially when you consider the sharp strike, which is extremely rare for the variety. A very light touch of friction on the highest points of the design from mint state. The only marks are a small spot of reddish brown toning high on the neck at the jawline and a couple tiny ticks on the jawline just above the spot. A small nick midway between the upper lip and star 3 is a good identifying mark. Sharply struck M-LDS, die state e, with all 5 of the “Wheelspoke” die cracks on the reverse, and the final one down through the second T in STATES is clear. Called AU55 and CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #21081. Bland says AU55 and tied for CC#3. Our grade is AU55 . 36922.64/13093046

LOT 178 1829 N-8 R1 Large Letters, PCGS graded MS63 Brown . Very attractive lustrous light olive and golden tan with subtle overtones of sea-green and light bluish steel. The only notable defect is a small reddish spot of fine carbon close over star 5, and there is a very shallow pit in the center of the spot. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has great eye appeal in spite of the tiny pit. MDS, die state b, with a narrow rim cud at stars 9-10. Graded MS60 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, his photo #28383. Our grade is MS60+. 36925.63/30999533 Ex Joe Kuhnert, NASCA 12/1976:57-Kenneth Pines-Dr. Robert J. Shalowitz-Del Bland-Jack H.
