LOT 192 1802 S-230 R1 NGC graded AU58. Frosty dark steel brown with lighter brown and tan in protected areas. Smooth with sharp details and only trivial marks. The only notable defects are a small patch of tiny low spots above the shoulder and another over the left top of the N in ONE, both as struck. M-LDS, Breen state VII, with cracks and die clashmarks on both sides. Graded EF45 and tied for CC#6 honors in the Bland census. Our grade is EF45 . LOT 193 1802 S-230 R1 PCGS graded AU53. Attractive frosty medium brown and chocolate. Smooth except for fine die rust on the obverse that is associated with the later die state and a small spot of microscopic carbon well off the chin. There are a few contact marks including a dull nick on the cheek, a fresh scrape on the 1 in the date, a collection of fine but fresh pin scratches right of the date, and a couple light scratches at ON in ONE. Only the nick on the cheek catches your eye. M-LDS, Breen state IX, with cracks on both sides and fine die rust in the field up from the bust. Our grade is EF45+ sharpness net EF40. 1470.53/82989689
