TNA HOF Collection Pt 1
ATTRACTIVE PROOF-ONLY N-19
LOT 1225 1848 N-19 R6- PCGS graded PR64 Brown, CAC Approved. Attractive light to medium steel brown with lighter reddish steel brown and tan faded down from mint color in protected areas on the obverse. No notable spots, only microscopic hairlines and handling marks on the obverse including a few light ticks in the field before the chin. The reverse is flawless. The fields are reflective but the mirrors are not deep (which is typical of the variety). The fine repunching on the 1 and 48 is clear. A nice example of this rare proof-only issue. Our grade is Proof-62. 1973.64/37075342

Tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census.

MDS, die state c, with two clear die lines through the base of the T in CENT. Tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census.

LOT 1227 1848 N-21 R3+ MS60. Lustrous light to medium steel brown with light reddish overtones on the lower part of the reverse. There are a few tiny peeps of mint color on the reverse but you need a glass to find them. The surfaces are satiny and show just a few trivial marks including two ticks over star 12. MDS, die state c late. Crumbling shows in the top and bottom of the E in CENT and the fine vertical lines at that T are sharp. Tied for CC#13 of the variety in the Grellman census.
LOT 1229 1848 N-23 R3+ AU55. Lustrous light to medium brown and light olive. Sharp with great eye appeal and a hint of rub on the highpoints. A small puff of darker olive brown toning left of star 12 is the best identifying mark. MDS, die state b. The earlier die lines from the first S in STATES to the E in CENT are gone but there is no rim cud at the top of the obverse. Tied for CC#11 in the Grellman census.
