LOT 1142 1847 N-5 R3+ Repunched 84 MS60. Frosty medium brown with attractive light sea-green overtones in protected areas. The fields are satiny and nearly flawless. The best identifying mark is a tiny nick on the rim just below star 3. MDS, die state a. The reverse is uncracked and the repunching on the 84 is clear. LOT 1143 1847 N-6 R1 AU50. Very attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with mint frost in the protected areas. Just light friction on the highpoints, and the only notable marks are a few ticks low on the neck. E-MDS, die state b early. Repunching is still visible on the upper edge of the crossbar on the 4 and the die line from the dentils right of star 6 is sharp.
LOT 1144 1847 N-7 R2+ MS60. Frosty light to medium brown. Sharply struck with satiny surfaces and great eye appeal. The only marks are a thin struck-through line to the left from the top of the 1 and a small rim nick at star 4. M-LDS, die state c, with bold rim cuds from star 1 to below the 18. A beautiful cent, tied for CC#6 of the die state in the Grellman census.
