TNA Book 1
LOT 37 1853 C-1 R-1 PCGS AU58. Attractive chocolate brown with hints of deeper olive in some reverse protected areas. There is a carbon speck on the lower bust above 5, and a trivial tick on the bridge of the nose. Smooth, lustrous surfaces. Our grade is XF45. 1227.58/27617412
LOT 38 1853 C-1 R-1 VF30. Rather glossy light brown with light steel the high points. There are a couple trivial ticks on the rim left of star 3, hardly noteworthy but serve to identify. Smooth surfaces, repunching of the date is visible on all 4 digits.
LARGE CENTS
LOT 39 1794 S-48 Starred Reverse AG3. A few points sharper but likely buried in the ground for a time and now corroded and cleaned. Now mostly steel brown with splashes of tan and overtones of turquoise and olive. Despite the surfaces, the date, LIBERTY and portrait details remain and well over half of the stars are visible around the dentils on the reverse.
LOT 40 1796 NC-3 R-6 AG3. Glossy chocolate brown with no roughness or verdigris. The only mark is a light rim bruise at 6 in the date. Easily readable date, though the bottom half is fading to the rim, as are the tops of the legends. EDS, Breen State I. Smooth and attractive, just well worn. CC#14 in the Noyes census, his photo #32171. Bland says CC#15.
