EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 34 1837 HT-73 Half Cent of Copper VG10. VF sharpness but the surfaces are covered with micro granularity, there are traces of dark shallow scale in some reverse peripheries, and there is some old graffiti scratched around the central reverse. Nice light to medium brown color otherwise.
LOT 29 1826 C-2 R-3+ AU50. Near unc sharpness but there is a touch of rub on the high points. Mostly attractive light brown and golden olive with blue overtones, a puff of darker steel around the mouth, and more of the latter mottled on the reverse. Smooth surfaces with frosty luster.
LOT 30 1832 C-1 R-2 NGC MS62BN. Green frosty olive and steel obverse, the reverse is dark brown and olive with lighter tan mellowed down from faded mint color along the right side. There are wispy, trivial marks on Liberty’s cheek and the obverse fields, as well as light rub on the high points. Our grade is AU50. 4771715-003
LOT 31 1833 C-1 R-1 NGC AU58 CAC. Attractive light olive and faded mint red. Sharpness near mint state with a touch of rub on some high points, and minor marks under the eye and on the throat. Glossy surfaces with frosty mint luster in some protected areas. Our grade is EF45+ . 2287644-009
LOT 35 1849 Original Small Date Proof 60+. Deep chocolate, olive, and ebony steel patina, some reverse high points a few shades lighter. There is a tiny spot on the rim over CA in AMERICA, otherwise free of notable marks with mirror proof surfaces. 1218.94/45317039
LOT 32 1835 C-1 R-1 PCGS MS63BN. Frosty golden brown mellowed down from faded mint color with light steel overtones on the obverse and splashes of deeper maroon and steel around the reverse peripheries. Free of notable marks with frosty cartwheel luster, stronger on the obverse. Our grade is MS60. 1168.63/6322520
LOT 36 1850 C-1 R-1 PCGS AU58. Attractive glossy light chocolate brown with hints of faded mint red in some protected areas. There are minor flakes on the jawline and nose, and a nick right of star 7. Smooth, glossy surfaces otherwise with hints of frosty luster in some protected areas. Our grade is XF45. 1221.58/37120973
LOT 33 1837 HT-73 Half Cent of Copper NGC AU50. Pleasing medium and chocolate browns. There are a few trivial marks in the fields, nothing noteworthy or distracting, with smooth surfaces. Our grade is VF35. 2707218-022
