Removed from an NGC holder graded VF Details Reverse Damage (a mischaracterized low spot), NGC label # 5038385 005 included. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.

LOT 319 1830 N-11 R5 VG8 . Several points sharper but lightly burnished and retoned glossy bluish olive brown and chocolate with lighter brown highpoints. No roughness or marks. The date is weak, as usual on lower grade examples of the variety, but it is easily readable.

Ex Tom Keenan

LOT 320 1831 N-5 R4 Medium Letters VF20 . Nearly ten points sharper but cleaned and retoned glossy light greenish olive and steel. No roughness, just a few marks including a small dig at the lower left point of star 7. MDS.

LOT 318 1830 N-10 R4+ G6 . Glossy medium brown with light chocolate in the fields and protected areas. No corrosion or verdigris, only minor marks consistent with the grade. Rare LDS, Grellman state c late, with a raised retained cud break at ATES. The cud has a small depression or “dimple” over the E that confirms this is a retained cud, not a full cud struck with that part of the die completely broken away. A very rare die state. A full cud version is unknown.
