LOT 175 1794 S-44 R1 VG7 but Holed . Glossy chocolate brown with slightly lighter steel brown on the devices. Mostly smooth, just worn EXCEPT for a large hole drilled through the E in LIBERTY. Late die state with a strong die crack through the U in UNITED.

LOT 178 1794 S-54 R3 NGC VG Details, Corrosion . Dull dark chocolate with lighter steel brown highpoints. The date and obverse legends are complete but some of the devices on the reverse are faint or missing. Fine roughness covers both sides. No verdigris and the only mark are a few old scratches at TE in UNITED. Our grade is net AG3.

LOT 179 1794 S-54 R3 ANACS graded AG3 Details, Scratched . Slightly glossy olive brown and steel with lighter brown toning on the devices. The two tone appearance accents the devices and adds to the eye appeal. The surfaces are covered with very fine roughness and there is an old, very fine scratch from the E in STATES to the C in AMERICA. The date is clear and LIBERTY is readable, but most of the legend outside the wreath is weak or missing. Our grade is AG3. Certificate #4463562

LOT 176 1794 S-50 R5 ANACS graded VF30 Details, Corroded . Nicely detailed but covered with fine roughness, strongest on the reverse. No verdigris and the only marks are some old hairline scratches hidden in the hair and another in the field close under the cap. The only mark visible to the unaided eye is a small rim nick at the U in UNITED. Chocolate brown and steel with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. The date is strong and the legends are clear. LDS, Breen state III, Heck state 2, with a fine die crack arcing through the tip of the bust into the field over the pole. A decent example of this rare variety in spite of the imperfect surfaces. Our grade is VF25 sharpness net VG10. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Certificate #5075054

LOT 180 1794 S-55 R2 ANACS graded VF20 Details, Corroded, Scratched . Slightly glossy olive brown and chocolate mottled with light brown on the obverse. The surfaces are uneven and there are several old, light scratches and rim bruises, but overall the eye appeal is not bad at all. A rim bruise at the top of the cap, one at D-S, and another under the left side of the denominator can help identify this cent. EDS, Breen state I. The date and legends are complete and clear and the misplaced A in STATES feature is bold. Our grade is VF20 sharpness net VG10. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Certificate #7341073

LOT 177 1794 S-51 R4 G5 . Sharpness at least VF20 but covered with moderate roughness. No verdigris and the only marks are a pair of minor rim bruises at the cap and LI. The date and legends are complete and easily readable. Olive brown with slightly lighter toning on the highpoints.
