Ex Thomas L. Elder 2/9/1912:937-F. C. C. Boyd-Stack’s 9/7/1979:587-Heritage Auctions 9/1987:10 (includes the Boyd collection ticket and the last 2 lot tickets)

LOT 605 Washington UNITY STATES Cent Breen-1188, Baker-1 VF35 . Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate with frosty tan in protected areas. Softly struck on the left edge of both sides, as usual, due to the dies being out of proper axial alignment. Otherwise quite nice with just a few trivial planchet voids in the weakly struck areas. Listed on page 78 in the 2023 “Redbook.” Weight 115.6 grains.

LOT 607 (1820) Double-Headed Washington Cent Breen-1204, Baker-6 F12 . Slightly sharper but there is a cut out of the rim under the shoulder on the ONE CENT side and a dig at the star under the shoulder on the WASHINGTON side. Smooth and glossy with attractive chocolate brown and steel toning. Listed on page 78 in the 2023 “Redbook.” Weight 121.4 grains.
