LOT 535 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.25-Z.10 R6 Draped Bust Left VF20 . Glossy light to medium steel brown. Nearly choice with great eye appeal for the grade. Nearly centered on a nice planchet. The bottom edge of the date is off the planchet but everything else is complete and strong. Weight 154.2 grains.

LOT 538 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.37-Z.9 R6- Draped Bust Left VF30 . Glossy olive brown and chocolate. The portrait and center of the reverse show many planchet chips and striations but everything else is smooth. The only notable mark is a small splash of crud around the fleuron above the head. LOT 537 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.36-T.2 R2 Draped Bust Left VG10 . Much sharper but covered with uniform moderate roughness. No marks or verdigris. Sharp and nicely centered with a strong date and clear legends. Must have entered an unfriendly environment soon after minting. Weight 108.5 grains.

LOT 540 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.39-s.1 R4 Draped Bust Left VF20 . Ten points sharper but there is a planchet fissure at the top of the head that reaches through the planchet to the 17 in the date. Otherwise the planchet is decent with minor chips on the face and in the center of the reverse. Glossy medium brown blending to chocolate brown in protected areas. There is a “2” written in the center of the obverse and two more numbers (34?) on the reverse, both added in red ink. The 87 is bold but the 17 is affected by the fissure. The legends are complete and clear. Weight 127.2 grains.
