LOT 526 1787 Connecticut Miller 31.1-r.4 R2 Draped Bust Left VF20 . Attractive glossy light brown. The surfaces are smooth except for minor planchet chipping at the weakly struck area at the top of the obverse and bottom of the reverse. The notable marks are a small planchet flake in the dentils at AU in AUCTORI, a hairline scratch on the cheek, and a light scratch left of the bouquet. Struck slightly off center to K-1.5 leaving most of the date off the planchet, but it is still readable. Weight 133.8 grains.
LOT 523 1787 Connecticut Miller 15-F R3 Mailed Bust Left NGC graded F12 . Glossy olive brown with light brown toning covering the devices. The two-tone appearance accents the devices and this piece has nice eye appeal in spite of some defects. There is a dent on the mouth and a few small planchet fissures. The date and legends are easily readable. Our grade is consistent with the NGC assessment. Weight 97.5 grains. Comes with a nice provenance. Certificate #2728392-002

LOT 525 1787 Connecticut Miller 19-g.4 R3 Draped Bust Left VF30 . Glossy olive brown and steel with lighter chocolate brown on the highpoints. Smooth and attractive with light wear and minor defects. The notable marks are a nick or very short scratch in the field under the A in AUCTORI, a small planchet flake over the knee of the seated figure, and another flake off her elbow. Obvious die swelling shows at the top of the 787 but the rest of the date is strong. Struck slightly off center to K-5. The attribution is noted in white ink on the face. A very nice piece. Weight 145.3 grains.
LOT 528 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.4-q R5 Draped Bust Left VG8 . Slightly sharper but there is a dent on the cheek that created a bump on the reverse. Otherwise only minor marks on glossy medium brown and olive surfaces. There are traces of crud in some of the protected areas on the reverse but it is not verdigris. The date is bold. Later die state with strong die cracks at AUCTO. Weight 128.3 grains.
