EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 321 1811 C-1 R4 NGC VG Details, Corrosion . Slightly glossy dark steel brown with lighter toning on the highpoints. The eye appeal is decent but the planchet is covered with fine porosity, strongest in protected areas. No verdigris but there are some old scratches hidden in the toning, particularly along the truncation over the date and at the second A in AMERICA. The date is strong and the legends are easily readable. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks on the obverse. Our grade is net G4. Certification Number 2543470-004

LOT 325 1811 C-2 R3 NGC VG Details, Scratches . Slightly glossy dark steel brown with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. The highpoints are mostly smooth but the rest of the planchet shows fine roughness. No verdigris but there are myriad hairline scratches on the portrait, all lost in the toning. The date is strong. Our grade is net AG3+, close to G4 . Certification Number 2543471-007

LOT 326 1825 C-2 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved . Lustrous light brown with slightly darker steel brown on the highpoints. No spots or stains, just a few microscopic contact marks including a tiny scratch left of the O in OF. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The end of the stem is weak from die polishing and there are traces of very fine die rust along the profile of the nose, chin, and neck. Our grade is MS60. Certification Number 1141.63/14012788

LOT 322 1811 C-2 R3 NGC VF Details, Improperly Cleaned . Slightly glossy dark grayish steel brown with lighter steel and olive brown on the highpoints. Nicely detailed but there are numerous small marks including old scratches on the portrait and traces of minor roughness in a few places. No verdigris and none of the marks catch your eye. May have been recolored but the marks and traces of roughness are the best reasons for a “Details” assessment. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with strong die clashmarks on the obverse. Our grade is net VG10. Certification Number 2543470-005

LOT 327 1825 C-2 R1 VF20 . Glossy olive brown with lighter steel brown on the devices. Smooth and void of defects other than some soft dirt. MDS.

LOT 323 1811 C-2 R3 VG7 . Slightly sharper, especially on the right side of the reverse, but lightly burnished and retoned glossy steel brown and chocolate. No verdigris or marks. MDS. The date is bold and the legends are clear.

LOT 324 1811 C-2 R3 NGC VG Details, Scratches . Very lightly cleaned causing lighter coppery toning at the date and on highpoints of the wreath. No roughness or verdigris. A dull scratch at the L in LIBERTY and a vertical fissure through the H in HALF and C in CENT are the only notable marks. EDS. The date is bold. Our grade is VG7 sharpness net G6 . The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Certification Number 6685752-010

LOT 328 1825 C-2 R1 F15 . Glossy light chocolate and medium brown. Smooth with trivial marks, just moderately worn. Nice for the grade. MDS.
