1785 Connecticut Miller 3.4-F.2 R2 MBR, PCGS graded VF25 . Glossy golden tan and light steel brown. Smooth and void of any planchet flaws. The only notable marks are a dull scratch down the face from the forehead to the chin and couple more at CON. These marks are relatively strong but they blend nicely into the toning. The reverse is choice and the date is strong. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 685157.25/46898562

1785 Connecticut Miller 3.2-L R4+ MBR, PCGS graded VF20 . Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. No corrosion but there are some of the usual planchet flaws, mostly at the forehead and CO, plus another down from the globe into the 5 significantly weakening that numeral. The rest of the date is not strong but it is clear. Late die state with obvious swelling in the fields and legends on the reverse. LOT 85 1785 Connecticut Miller 3.4-F.1 R3 MBR, PCGS graded VF30 . Choice glossy light brown in the fields and protected areas with light chocolate on the devices. Smooth with a strong date and excellent eye appeal. There are some faint hairlines on both sides, none visible to the unaided eye, and traces of fine verdigris in a few protected areas. Superior to the Perkins example, comparable to Taylor. Weight 149.4 grains. The attribution and Sydney F. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the special PCGS label.
