LOT 568 1835 N-6 R1 Small Date, Stars, & Letters AU50 . Frosty light brown with slightly darker steel brown on the highpoints. Satiny mint luster shows in the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal of this cent is quite nice. Just minor marks including a thin nick in the field before the forehead, a tick right of star 2, a nick on the front edge of the neck, a rim nick at the U in UNITED, and a puff of dark toning on that N. E-MDS, Grellman state b. The repunching on the right bottom of the C in AMERICA is weak but visible, and there is a sharp triple profile on the lips. Removed from a PCGS holder graded AU58 (PCGS label #37087.58/82442750 included, and it shows the attribution).
LOT 570 1835 N-8 R1 Head of 1836 AU58 . Lustrous golden tan and light brown. A choice cent with solid mint state eye appeal, but there is a hint of rub on the very highest points of the portrait. The best identifying feature is a tiny puff of darker steel brown toning just right of the Y in LIBERTY. MDS, Grellman state b, with a die crack up the right edge of the 1 through the portrait to the top of the head where it disappears. Removed from a PCGS holder graded MS62BN (older generation PCGS label #1714.62/7422268 included). A nice cent that comes with a nice provenance.

LOT 569 1835 N-7 R1 Head of 1836 EF45 . Frosty steel brown with lighter brown in protected areas. The reverse is partly woodgrained with light brown and darker olive brown tones. Satiny luster shows in protected areas and there is just light wear on the devices. The only notable marks, and they are trivial, are a thin nick close under the nostril, another at the top of the L in LIBERTY, and a very light rim bruise at star 5. E-MDS, Grellman state a late. The lumps on the bottoms of the 1 & 8 are dull but still visible. There is a double profile on the forehead, nose, lips, and chin with additional doubling on several of the stars (machine doubling). Removed from an NGC holder graded AU55 (NGC label #3313412-016 included, and it shows the attribution).
