LOT 488 1827 N-2 R3 VF30 . Five points sharper but there is microscopic roughness on the reverse. The obverse is very attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate; the reverse is reddish chocolate with lighter golden brown toning on the highpoints. No verdigris or notable contact marks. MDS.
LOT 489 1827 N-3 R2 PCGS graded AU53 . Frosty medium chocolate brown and steel with mint luster in protected areas. A choice cent that has great eye appeal in spite of light wear on the devices. The fields and protected areas are satiny and the only notable mark is a short stripe of lighter brown toning off the upper left point of star 10. MDS. The fine crack at stars 1-6 is clear. There is a very fine double profile on the nose, but you need to get the light just right to see it. Our grade is EF40+ , very close to EF45. LOT 490 1827 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown . Glossy olive brown and chocolate. Smooth and very attractive with a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. Sharply struck EDS, Grellman state a, with no crumbling in the dentils at the bottom of the reverse. No notable contact marks; a small puff of lighter reddish brown toning at the right top of the second A in AMERICA can help identify this cent. Our grade is AU58. Housed in an early generation small PCGS holder. Certification Number 01651.63/8136049
