LOT 482 1826 N-5 R2 PCGS graded XF40 . Glossy tan and light brown with light chocolate on the obverse devices. Lightly worn with trivial marks. A puff of darker toning over star 9 and another smaller one over the left top of the O in ONE are the notable marks. M-LDS, Grellman state g. There is a rim cud over star 6 and narrow rim cuds from star 6 to star 5 and from star 4 to star 3. Our grade is VF30 . Certification Number 1645.40/18589839

LOT 485 1826 N-8 R2 Overdate 6 over 5 VF20 . Sharpness near EF40 but covered with uniform very fine roughness, then cleaned and retoned dark steel and olive brown mixed with traces of lighter reddish brown on the obverse. No marks or verdigris. LDS, Grellman state b, with flowlined fields and crumbling in the upper notch of the N in ONE. Traces of the undertype 5 are still visible inside the top of the 6. There is a sharp, clear triple profile from the forehead down to the chin and a similar triple profile on many of the stars (from die shift or “machine doubling”).

LOT 483 1826 N-6 R2 VF35+ . Slightly sharper with a few small nicks on the cheek and some very faint hairlines around the date. Frosty steel brown and light chocolate with lighter brown in some protected areas and bluish steel overtones around the date. MDS, Grellman state g, with die rust and very fine die cracks on the obverse plus minor crumbling in some of the dentils.

LOT 486 1826 N-9 R3 VF25 . Glossy light to medium chocolate brown and steel. Smooth with trivial marks including some faint hairlines in the field before the forehead and microscopic ticks on the jaw. MDS, Grellman state d, with a few dentils fused over star 5 and a fine crack from the end of the bust to below star 1.

LOT 487 1827 N-1 R2 AU50+ . Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with tan in protected areas. Sharp and quite attractive. The only mark worthy of mention is a small prick left of the lower point of star 9. EDS, Grellman state a, with sharp dentils around the obverse and faint radial die flowlines from those dentils.

LOT 484 1826 N-7 R1 VF35+ . Glossy tan and light brown with tiny speckles of darker olive brown on the obverse. Very smooth with slightly reflective fields on both sides. Close to EF40 but there are some minor contact marks including a few tiny nicks in the obverse fields, a small rim bruise over the left side of the O in OF, and a small nick at the right top of the N in ONE. E-MDS, Grellman state b early, with rotated die clashmarks on both sides, about as strong as these ever come.
