ATTRACTIVE 1820 N-6

LOT 431 1820/19 N-3 R2 Overdate Small 20 over 19 AU55 . Frosty medium steel with smooth, lustrous surfaces. An attractive cent with just a touch of friction on the highpoints and mint state eye appeal. Just a few trivial marks including a tick at the right side of star 6 and another in the hair under star 8, plus some tiny planchet flakes on the rim over UNITE. LDS, Grellman state b. The undertype 9 inside the 0 is no longer visible but the 1 under the 2 is dull but clear.

LOT 432 1820 N-4 R4 Small Date, PCGS graded AU50 . Choice glossy medium chocolate brown. Smooth and quite attractive with trivial marks and traces of mint frost in protected areas. EDS, Grellman state a. The dentils are crisp and the center dot on the reverse is clear. Our grade is VF35+, close to EF40. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 36688.50/32847899

LOT 434 1820 N-6 R4 Small Date EF45+ . Frosty medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny and quite nice for the grade, very close to AU50. Just a few microscopic contact marks including an arc of lightly impressed dentils between the chin and star 2. A small puff of slightly lighter toning at the dentils under star 1 can help identify this cent. A variety that is difficult to find in high grade; the finest in the Noyes census is graded AU55. Comes with a nice provenance.

LOT 433 1820 N-5 R3 Small Date VF35 . Frosty light steel brown with mint luster covering the protected areas. A choice EF40 cent except for a planchet flake right of star 3 and a small dig under star 8. MDS, Grellman state b. The fields are covered with fine radial die flowlines and most of the inner circle on the obverse is gone; only dull remnants of the circle remain visible at stars 1-4.
