 PCGS GRADED 1799/8

LOT 371 1799/8 S-188 R4 Overdate 9 over 8, PCGS graded Good-4 . Dark steel brown and chocolate. The surfaces are dull thanks to a layer of natural oxidation and loose dirt; looks like a cent that has never been brushed or treated with jewelers oil or “Care” to carefully remove the dirt. There are traces of minor roughness in a few places and the only marks are two dull nicks in the hair near the ear. The date and legends are all readable although some elements are a bit weak. Deserves a proper bath. Our grade is G4. Housed in an older generation PCGS holder. Certification Number 1446.04/9905707

The date and legends are all clear. MDS, Breen state V, with a cud break at the bottom of the first 1 in the date and die cracks on both sides. Our grade is VG10+ sharpness net VG8. The 1/000 feature is noted on the PCGS label. 1464.15/21418198
