 CHOICE MOSTLY RED 1854

LOT 349 1854 C-1 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved . Bright frosty mint red fading to light steel brown on the highpoints with two-thirds of the original mint color remaining. Only trivial marks including some tiny planchet flakes in the field before the neck, two very small ticks under the 4, and a speck of darker steel toning under the D in UNITED. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 2, with a small lump on the upper part of the upright of the I in UNITED. Our grade is MS64. Probably from the hoard of mint state examples discovered in the 1930’s. (The reverse of the holder is scuffed.). Certification Number 1231.64/06716622



LOT 350 1854 C-1 R1 EF45+ . Frosty light brown. Light friction on the highpoints; close to AU50. No notable marks. EDS, Manley state 1.0.



 LUSTROUS RED 1855

LOT 351 1855 C-1 R1 NGC graded MS64 Red . Frosty mint red mellowing to light steel brown on the highpoints with 85% of the original mint color remaining. An impressive half cent. Just a few minor marks including a thin nick between star 5 and the coronet and traces of a fingerprint at the end of the wreath stem. MDS with microscopic radial die flowlines near the dentils. Nicely struck with clear radial lines in all the stars except for #13. Some of the dentils are softly struck, as usual, but most are well formed. Our grade is MS64+ . The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Certification Number 451502-002
