LOT 789 1844 N-4 R1+ EF40. Sharpness near mint state but very lightly whizzed and retoned lustrous olive brown and steel with light steel brown in protected areas. Void of marks and the eye appeal of this cent is really nice; looks mint state to the unaided eye. E-MDS, die state b, with a very fine die crack through the top of UNITED.

LOT 792 1845 N-1 R4 VF30. Sharpness EF45 with scattered very light roughness and fine verdigris on the obverse. Most of the planchet is smooth and the toning is glossy medium brown mottled with light reddish brown on the obverse. The only contact mark is a tiny rim nick under the end of the wreath ribbon. Sharply struck EDS, die state a. The fine die lines from the dentils under star 1 are sharp.
