LOT 605 1852 N-14 R1 Repunched Date, PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty mellowed mint red fading to medium steel brown and light chocolate with at least 15% of the planchet showing underlying mint color. A sharp, very attractive cent that has virtually flawless surfaces. The only marks are a couple tiny specks of darker toning in the field under the hair bun and another on the crossbar of the E in ONE. Sharply struck EDS, die state a. The die lines from the dentils at star 2 are crisp, and sharp repunching shows on all 4 digits of the date. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#5 overall in the Grellman census but tied for finest of the early die state. LOT 606 1852 N-14 R1 Repunched Date, PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with satiny mint luster covering the protected areas. A sharp cent that has excellent eye appeal. Nearly flawless, a tiny hairline scratch in the field before the nose being the only mark. EDS, die state a. The repunching at the date is clear on all 4 digits. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Goodridge Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 147263.63/27391426

LOT 607 1852 N-15 R3 MS63. Highly lustrous dark bluish steel with very faded mint red covering about 10% of both sides. Satiny with great eye appeal. Just a few trivial marks including a tiny nick on the rim near the dentils under the 5 and a microscopic pinprick on the rim just above star 4. LDS, die state c. The die lines and points at NE in ONE are gone and the obverse fields are covered with fine radial die flowlines that create great cartwheel luster. Tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. Removed from an NGC holder graded MS65BN (NGC label #674676-011 included, and it shows the attribution).
