EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS - INTERNET ONLY EARLY AMERICAN COPPER SOCIETY AUCTION 2025
LOT 764 1793 S-16 Liberty Cap Electrotype COPY VF20 . The hair details were enhanced on the host coin; otherwise a very nice copy. Smooth with medium brown on the devices and darker olive brown and steel in protected areas. Plain edge.
LOT 760 1793 S-11c Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge, Electrotype COPY F15 . A well-executed electrotype copy with near EF40 detail, but it has finely corroded surfaces. A chip on the rim over the first T in STATES is the best identifying mark. Dark reddish chocolate brown. The edge lettering is deceptive and this piece could easily fool a non-EAC buyer. The leaf following DOLLAR is not present and the seam around the edge is visible.

BEAUTIFUL S-24 ELECTROTYPE COPY
LOT 761 1793 S-11c Wreath Electrotype Copy F12 . Glossy light brown and olive brown with a small corrosion spot under 93 in the date that extends to the edge where there’s a bit of verdigris. Otherwise smooth, glossy surfaces and a rather nice electrotype copy of a 1793 S-11 Wreath Cent.
LOT 762 1793 S-12 Liberty Cap Electrotype COPY VF30 . Sharper but recolored chocolate and steel with some lighter brown. Nicely executed but it has a plain edge and some spidery cracks on both sides.

yes LOT 765 1794 S-24 Electrotype COPY AU55 . A superior copy, essentially as made, with great eye appeal. A small linear void under the 9 and a few tiny lumps on both sides, mostly on the cap and at UN, are the notable flaws. Plain edge.
Ex Denis W. Loring Collection 12/5/1988-Pete Smith (includes the Smith collection envelope)
LOT 763 1793 S-12 Liberty Cap Electrotype COPY VF25 . Similar to the preceding lot but this one has a spot of “tin pest” corrosion in the wreath under the C in CENT. Olive brown with greyish steel on the highpoints. A copy of the ANS coin.
Ex Thomas D. Reynolds (includes the Reynolds sales envelope)
