LOT 702 1694 H 2-F Carolina Elephant Token Electrotype Copy VF30 .
LOT 707 1786 Neo-Eboracenesis Washington Electrotype Copy VF35 . Glossy attractive light brown on smooth, hard surfaces. There are two depressions under I in VI and IC in VICI that seems common on these electrotype copies. The obverse is Washington with NON VI VIRTUE VICI (won by virtue not force), while the reverse is Liberty facing right. An attractive copy of a very rare 1786 NEO EBORACENSIS copper.
LOT 703 1694 H 2-G God Preserve New England Elephant Token Electrotype Copy XF40 . Silver plated but a light layer of oxidation on each side gives and olive and deeper charcoal patina, as well as tiny pits on the reverse. Sharp details with full, raised rims.
LOT 708 1787 Immunis Coloumbia Eagle Reverse Electrotype Copy VF30 . Attractive medium olive and steel browns with traces of microgranularity but overall a glossy, mostly smooth appearance. Free of marks, the lower half of the date and upper parts of some reverse legends didn’t make the planchet but the remaining details are sharp.
LOT 704 1737 3 Hammers Higley Electrotype Copy VF20 . There are a few raised spots of metal and some parallel striations, but overall pleasing medium olive brown. Variety with 3 hammers and CONNECTICVT, a neat copy of this extremely rare coin.
LOT 709 1787 New York Excelsior Standing Indian Electrotype Copy VF20 . Dark brown and lighter ruddy brown with faint microgranularilty on the surfaces visible under a glass, mostly around the peripheries. Otherwise glossy surfaces. The obverse depicts a standing Indian warrior and LIBER NATUS LIBERTATEM DEFENDO (Born free, I defend freedom), and the New York Arms reverse. A neat copy of one of the more interesting Confederation era coppers.
LOT 705 1773 Virginia Halfpenny Electrotype Copy EF40 . Made slightly off center on oversized planchet with full beading on both sides. There are traces of microporosity on otherwise glossy medium brown surfaces with deeper steel on the central obverse and lower central reverse.
LOT 710 1787 George Clinton Excelsior Electrotype Copy XF45 . Uniform glossy medium brown with a few scattered lead spots. Made a bit off center on both sides, the very tops of CLINTON and bottom of EXCELSIOR not making the planchet. George Clinton obverse with the New York Arms reverse, very sharp details.
Tuesday, May 20 th , 2025 5PM CST LOT 706 1773 Virginia Halfpenny Electrotype Copy VF20 . Cleaned and now toned a rather glossy medium brown and olive browns with a traces of light oxidation in the steely maroon areas containing faint microgranularity. There are several nicks all around the portrait’s face, hair, and shoulder, and one on the upper left shield.
